Organising committee chairman Simon Harvey said the festival, which is in its sixth year, had been going from strength to strength.

'We feel this has gone the best out of all the festivals so far,' he said.

'We are getting the hang of it. It has been scorching weather.'

There was an array of acts on offer.

'We had a lot of really good receptions,' Mr Harvey said.

'The Elephant Sessions and the Roving Crows had a brilliant crowd. Buffalo Huddleston had the biggest crowd – they really got the crowd going.'
