LATE-NIGHT shopping still draws in the crowds, stall holders have said.

At the last of the three pre-Christmas shopping nights on Thursday, those hoping to sell presents said it was well worth turning up.

Sue Ephgrave, who sells an array of local goods, said people seemed to be willing to open their wallets.

'It had been quite quiet, but now the weather is better, more people are turning up,' she said.

'Some people have been buying for presents, others for themselves. It certainly is worth coming out though, there is a really lovely atmosphere.'
