Consumer law 'a waste of taxpayers' money'
NOT all businesses are convinced of the need for a consumer law.

At the February meeting the States will debate the Commerce and Employment Department's proposal for the introduction of a wide framework of statutory consumer protection powers.
Of the 83 responses it received to a public consultation in October, the department said the overwhelming majority were in favour of what it wanted to do.
But some think the proposal is a case of 'using a sledgehammer to crack a nut,' including Sound & Vision owner Andy Best.
'It's a complete waste of taxpayers' money,' he said.
