Adrian Osborne and Thomas Waterman were arrested during a surveillance operation at Grandes Rocques car park, when the class B drug was uncovered.

After their arrest, cannabis resin was also found in various packages during a police search of Osborne's home, along with a cannabis plant.

Osborne, 51, and Waterman, 43, were sentenced to 10 years and nine years in prison, respectively, after admitting a joint charge of being concerned in the supply of cannabis resin.

Osborne was sentenced to a further seven- and-a half-years for possessing cannabis resin with the intent to supply, for the resin found at his home, and two months for the cultivation of a cannabis plant. These run concurrently to his 10-year sentence.
