POSSESSING what he says is the best squad in the Priaulx League, Jordan Gallienne wants to start on the road to a new St Martin's dynasty this Friday night.

The youngest coach in first team football, aged just 22, leads a new-look black-and-whites side against hot title favourites Bels, after a hectic pre-season at Blanche Pierre Lane.

More than 15 players have followed the former Rovers youth coach in through the entrance, the vast majority in their teens or early-20s and it has got Gallienne excited.

'In all honesty, I believe that the top three will be Bels, North and ourselves at the end of the season in some order,' he said.

'Bels are most people's favourites – and rightly so. They have the best attacking threat on the island. But I believe North have the best starting XI and will threaten them.

'I think we have the best squad, with 20 or 22 players in there who are genuine Priaulx level, so we have competition for places in every single position on the pitch.'
