GFC's Jordan could be out for a year

GUERNSEY FC will likely have to do without Rhys Jordan for the rest of this season – at least – as the initial diagnosis on his knee injury suggests significant damage.

If scans turn those fears into reality, then the 19-year-old former New Zealand U17 World Cup player, will be looking at a recovery and rehabilitation stretching into many months, potentially around a year.

'We don't know for definite the full extent of the injury, but it is fair to say that it doesn't look good at all for Rhys at the moment,' said GFC manager Tony Vance.

The GFC squad are preparing for another home Ryman South match tonight, when Three Bridges are the visitors to Footes Lane.
