Green Lions travel to Herne Bay

RIDDING the GFC dressing room of 'player power' is Tony Vance's aim as he looks to help his side string together a consistent run of Ryman South wins.

And in another frank admission, he says the Green Lions also need to shake off the label of an "if" team that they have attached to themselves.

Vance takes his team to Herne Bay tonight for a game that could see GFC climb as high as ninth, eight places higher than they currently sit.

If they were to win all of their games in hand they would move to second, but manager Vance laughs away the suggestion that the league table is misleading.

'We are 17th because we deserve to be there, as simple as that, not because of the fixtures or because we have played less games,' he said.
