Loss at Hastings is 'a little blip' says Vance

GUERNSEY FC boss Tony Vance is keen to make sure his side's 2-0 loss to Hastings United on Saturday doesn't stall their progress.

The Arrows' Billy Medlock scored twice in the second half – the first a fluke – but the Green Lions weren't at the races as they suffered a first defeat in 10.

'They were prepared to fight more than us,' said Vance.

'They did the ugly side of the game better.

'They got control for many reasons but the most disappointing was possession. We gave the ball away too many times. The players who are normally very good at that were off their game.

'It's important we forget this little blip. We have home advantage next week against Walton Casuals and we must look at doing the ugly things better.'
