Guernsey will be among the six nations competing in WCL5 in Jersey from 21-28 May and the ICC have announced that the United States will host the subsequent Division Four tournament at the Leo Magnus Cricket Complex in the City of Angels in late 2016.

'That's quite a large carrot,' said Guernsey captain Jamie Nussbaumer on hearing the news that a second consecutive promotion would take his side to California.

'It will be a great location, but that does not come into it at all yet because our focus is solely on the tournament in Jersey and doing well there.

'Los Angeles is just a potential bonus at the end of a heck of a lot of hard work that's still to come.'

Division Six champions Guernsey and hosts Jersey will be joined by favourites Oman, Tanzania, Nigeria and Vanuatu in next month's Division Five event.
