AFTER recovering from a crash that saw his Lotus 69 suffer significant damage, Dave Lowe is ready to go again this weekend at Snetterton.

The 77-year-old has again been competing in the Classic Formula Ford Championship this year, but he was left frustrated at Donington Park last month as he was taken out of the race by a fellow driver.

It left the Guernseyman annoyed and with a sizeable bill to repair the car.

'I go over there to compete and have a good time, to enjoy myself, so to have something like that happen is not what you want to see at all,' said Lowe.

'I lost the left upright, the left wishbone was destroyed at the top and bottom, the nose cone was broken and I lost two wheels and two tyres on one side of the car.

'Luckily it is all sorted now and hopefully this weekend goes well.'

Lowe had already raced at Brands Hatch, where he finished fourth and fifth in his class across the two races, before a pair of second-places at Thruxton.

After this weekend, he also has another round left at Brands Hatch.
