ST MARTIN'S have created a three-way FNB Priaulx League title shoot-out after defeating North 2-0 last night.

Their Northfield victory moves them joint-top on 39 points – with North – but in-form Saints currently hold the slight upper hand on goal difference.

North have four to play, Saints have three, but the sides are still due to meet each other again, while both also have to take on Rovers, who are only one point back on the leaders with three games left.

'I said I wasn't getting too excited about it before this game and that is still the same now – we are on a good run of form but there are three games left and a lot of football to be played,' he said.

'It is a cliche but we have to take it one game at a time and we have a couple of weeks off now before our next game at Rangers, which won't be easy, so that is where our focus will be – that game alone.

'In terms of tonight, I thought we were defensively rock solid and right now, there is a real belief within the team that we won't concede goals however much pressure sides put on us and we took a couple of our chances.'
