Regulars want planners to approve Vazon cafe scheme

VAZON Bay Cafe's latest planning application has received heavy backing from its customers.

Plans were submitted to Environment on 21 January to extend the front and sides of the premises, change the windows, create a terrace at first-floor level and install raised decking at the rear of the building with a path next to the sea wall.

The latter two changes would provide the opportunity for alfresco seating with views of Vazon beach - the main reason cited by customers as to why the plans should be allowed to go through.

It is the third attempt to redevelop the cafe.
