VAZON BAY CAFE could be completely revamped if Environment board members back planners' recommendations at an open meeting next week.

A planning application report has recommended that permission be given to extend the cafe at the front and sides, create a balcony overlooking the beach and a raised decking area at the back.

But the final decision will be down to the department's board on Tuesday.

Proprietor Nick Percy (pictured) has had several previous applications to improve the site knocked back.
