The scars of physical trauma can elicit a positive or negative reaction, as Retired Lt General Richard Nugee knows well. But now with his work with the charity the Scar Free Foundation, he and his team are working on the possibility of erasing those physical scars forever.

Architectural designer Martin Nickolls has drawn up some ambitious plans to reinvigorate under-used areas of the St Peter Port seafront for the benefit of all. Rob Batiste caught up with him and took a look at his designs.
