The Guernsey-affiliated vessel was greeted with a traditional welcoming ceremony before the crew spent time marking National Children's Day on 11 January and visiting the country's Royal British Legion branch, as well as spending time with the Royal Thai Navy.

HMS Daring's commanding officer, Commander Angus Essenhigh, said the Type 45 destroyer's crew were very excited to start the new year with the Thailand visit.
