Stones tribute band marks 50 years
THE music of The Rolling Stones echoed around Beau Sejour last night exactly 50 years to the day since the iconic band played in the island.

The sell-out show by the Counterfeit Stones, hailed as 'The Most famous Stones band in England' by frontman Sir Mick Jagger, rocked out in the Dave Ferguson Hall last night to a host of delighted fans.
Many of those who attended remembered the three nights 50 years ago when a somewhat younger Stones played at New Theatre Ballroom within St George's Hall from 18 to 20 August, 1964.
Geoff Robert, 67, was just 17 when, what are now considered one of the world's greatest and most enduring rock bands, took to the stage, a moment he remembers fondly.
