This year is the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Channel Islands.
After the judging panel whittled down the entries, the ultimate winner 49-year-old Clive Davies, pictured, was picked from a hat containing dozens of islanders who had all suggested the winning name.
Mr Davies has now been given a year's free travel with Condor Ferries and will also have the chance to visit Condor Liberation to see the name being painted on the 102-metre trimaran ferry.
