Lyons review gives hope

THE husband of one of the patients at the heart of the Dr Rory Lyons case is hopeful an independent review of Health and Social Services will provide the family with some resolution.

The investigation around Dr Lyons centred on the care he administered to four of his patients during their last days.

One of those patients was Ann Wheeler, who died of cancer in March 2014.

Her husband, Arthur, said he remained baffled by the inquiry into the GP, as both he and his late wife had been very happy with his care.

Mr Wheeler hoped the HSSD review would answer all the questions that families involved still had.
