AN ISLAND-WIDE experiment to encourage islanders to be kind to one another is under way.

The Dandelion Project has sent 400,000 random act of kindness cards to homes and businesses in the hope that people will do something kind for others.

As part of Random Acts of Kindness Week, the Guernsey project – called Think Kind – aims to encourage people to do something kind for someone, such as paying for someone's coffee, while also passing a card on to the person they have been kind to.

It is hoped that the person who received the kind turn will then do the same for someone else.
