A honeymoon return to isle of Matt's early arrival
GUERNSEY was chosen as a honeymoon destination so the groom could revisit the place where he was born.
Matt and Jo Watts, who are from St Neots, Cambridgeshire, are enjoying a few days in the island after getting married on Friday.
Mr Watts was born on 14 August 1980, 10 weeks early, while parents Nick and Lyn were on holiday in the island.
They were staying at Le Chene Hotel and went to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, where a scan surprisingly showed that she was expecting twins.
Sadly Matt's twin brother, Steven, succumbed to cot death when he was four months old .
Mr Watts, 35, said the family had visited Guernsey for a few years after he was born, but this was his first time as an adult.
His parents still holiday here, he said, and the engagement and wedding rings for the newly-married couple were also from Guernsey, from Bridge jeweller Ray & Scott.
