She has been been nominated for the Garenne-sponsored accolade by a parent, Michelle Le Poidevin, who has seen first-hand the difference Miss Mills has made in improving her son Liam's confidence.

Eleven-year-old Liam has really benefited from the support of Miss Mills in her teaching and his older brother, Jack, was also taught football by her.

'She is head of sport and takes after-school clubs that are open to everyone regardless of ability.

'A very caring lady who takes pride in her pupils' development. Popular with children as she makes learning fun and interesting.

'The best teacher either of my children has ever had.'

It is for these reasons and many more that Miss Mills is someone who should be recognised for all her hard work and dedication.
