Pride of Guernsey - 'completely selfless and gives up ample amounts of her time'
A SELFLESS and caring personality has seen Le Murier School teacher Lee Collier nominated for the Garenne-sponsored Teacher of the Year Award.
Parent Deb Carter hoped the nomination would go some way towards thanking Ms Collier for her contribution to her child's education.
Ms Collier said she wanted to accept the nomination on behalf of the whole team and the tireless work they do.
'Lee is one of the most amazing teachers I've ever met,' said Mrs Carter. 'My child is 15 and has achieved a great deal due to Lee and her fantastic team.'
Mrs Carter said Ms Collier really took the time to get to know all her students and created a positive school environment.
'She is completely selfless and gives up ample amounts of her time to make sure each and every child is catered for under her care at Le Murier.'
And Mrs Carter added that Ms Collier's attitude was a reflection on the school as a whole.
'I can't speak more highly of Le Murier, a fantastic school that my child loves to go to each and every day,' she said. 'Thanks Lee and thanks Le Murier.'
