Pride of Guernsey: 'She is my superhero'
A SUPERHERO who puts herself before others is how one 17-year-old has described her mum.

Jodie Helpe said her mother, Helen Helpe, was an incredible lady who did so much for her and her 13-year-old brother.
'She does her best to make sure we have the best of everything, always putting us before herself,' Jodie said.
'She finds it difficult to do everything because she's disabled.
'She ideally needs a knee- replacement, so doing the basic things like driving is hard for her, yet she still drives me and my brother to school and college.'
Jodie nominated her mum for The Christies Group-sponsored Parent/s of the Year Award.
'My mum deserves the world and this would be one way of showing her how much we appreciate her.
'She's my superhero.'
