Aindre Reece-Sheerin said this was why he had no hesitation in proposing Mrs Todd for the RefCo-sponsored Welcome of the Year Award.

'Julie has worked tirelessly trying to improve professionalism and the welcome that visitors experience by setting up the Customer Service Awards,' he said.

'People who are customer-facing take on all the trials and tribulations of their customers. Julie has been instrumental in fostering and instilling strong customer-facing skills by getting people to take an active role in nominating others for awards while rarely getting the much-deserved recognition she is entitled to for her own efforts and work behind the scenes.'

He said that it was down to Mrs Todd, a director at Collaborate Communications, that people in customer services now took much greater pride in what they did and it was time that she was recognised for this in her own right.

He was proud to nominate Mrs Todd for the award and for the continuing welcoming smile she wears in her work for the Bailiwick.
