Pride of Guernsey: 'We cannot praise her highly enough'

The front of house worker at The Duke of Richmond Hotel has been nominated for the RefCo-sponsored Welcome of the Year Award by Sharon Miller, from County Down, Northern Ireland.

'From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like royalty,' said Ms Miller.

'Nuria really went above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as it could be.

'Every request was met with professionalism and pride and even after she had been there all day, she was still smiling.'

Ms Miller said one particular thing they remembered was when they bumped into Ms Perez in the High Street one day.

'She was as pleasant as ever,' she said. 'She even went out of her way to help us carry our shopping up to the hotel – and this was on her day off.

'We cannot praise her highly enough and everyone we spoke to in the hotel was equally blown away by her. She is a credit to the industry and somebody that everyone can learn from.'
