Pride of Guernsey: 'cared for and reassured all the way'

That is according to one elderly patient who has nominated the staff there for the Angel of the Year Award, sponsored by Ravenscroft.

The patient, who asked to remain anonymous, wanted to say thank you to the team for their care.

'When you have a breast problem and get told you have cancer this is the team that deals with you,' they said.

'From mammographers, receptionists, an ultrasound doctor, two specialist nurses and care assistants, you are cared for and reassured all the way.

'They are always there for you. Sometimes this team are forgotten or overlooked because they give you the "bad" news and your emotions are all over the place and the treatment starts quickly.

'My experience is nothing but positive, for which I say thank you and want everyone to know.'
