Pride of Guernsey: 'She has inspired many'
WITH her special way of delivering lessons, mathematics teacher Gillian Wright can cater for every child's need and provide a big boost their confidence.
Ms Wright has been nominated for the Garenne-sponsored Teacher of the Year Award by one of the parents of the many children she has taught and they credited her for getting them 'where they are today'.
She is known to regularly keep in touch with parents and suggest ways they could help at home.
She has also been praised for the support she has given pupils as tutor during the whole of their academic year and helping some deal with the pressures during GCSEs.

Her nominator just wanted to say a big thank you to Ms Wright.
She is a teacher who tries to cater for all pupils, helps to boost their morale and allows them to succeed, even when they might struggle.
