Pride of Guernsey: 'a great example to other students'
JOSHUA ROBERTSON has dealt with more this year than most people have to in a lifetime and is an inspiration.
The 17-year-old College of Further Education first-year access student has been nominated for the Overcoming Adversity award, which is sponsored by the college.
'Josh has overcome an incredible amount of adversity outside of college this year,' his nominator said.
However, he has still managed to maintain 100% attendance and his nominator said he was sure all his tutors would say what a pleasure he was to teach, even with his roguish sense of humour.
'Josh has attended every lunchtime activity the college has offered him.
'He's never missed a morning or afternoon boot camp and often attends two sessions in one day.
'Josh consistently puts 100% effort into college and consistently encourages others to do the same.
'Josh is a great example to other students and is a credit to the college.
'Simply put, Josh is an inspiration to people of all ages over the island.'
