David Hook, Jennie Cox and their daughter Isabella, 3, have recently moved to the island, with David taking up the post of head chef.

David had an eventful career before meeting Jennie, starting life as an apprentice for Alyn Williams in his Michelin-starred restaurant and later on being headhunted for The White Horse, run by Jean Christophe Novelli.

David and Jennie first met while both working in a private members' club in the Strand, London, David as head chef and Jennie in the role of restaurant manager.

Their paths crossed many times over the years and eventually brought them together. They soon extended their family with Isabella, which saw them take a move to Hertfordshire for a quieter life and acquire the space they now needed for their extended family.

However London life was still a little too busy so when David's work brought an opportunity for a move to the Channel Islands, it was just what the family needed.

'Herm is perfect. We felt it ticked all the boxes for Isabella, now life is about her and what she needs, Herm could not be anymore perfect,' said Jennie.
