All three emergency services were called to the scene at around 1.

It is believed the man fell from a ladder in the area set aside for small car parking.

A double-crewed St John ambulance was dispatched, along with an incident officer, and off-duty staff were called in.

It took under an hour to rescue the man with help from the Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service's turntable ladder and a St John Ambulance basket stretcher. Police were also in attendance.

The man was treated at the scene for a head injury and taken to the Emergency Department at 2.03am.
