Stormy weather conditions across the channel have affected sailings all week and it is set to continue.

'With predicted wind speeds and sea conditions at times outside of safe operating limits, sailings have been delayed, rescheduled and, in some cases, cancelled,' said a Condor Ferries spokesman.

'Condor Liberation is operating a new departure from Poole to the islands tomorrow morning at 2.30am to avoid the worsening weather on Saturday afternoon.

'She will arrive in Guernsey at 5.30am, in Jersey at 7am before returning via Guernsey to dock in Poole at 12.40pm.

'Additional staff have been drafted into Condor’s contact centre and port offices to contact passengers and the company is taking over 1,000 calls per day. All passengers are being offered alternative sailings or a refund.'
