Car in hedge causes delays

ALL three emergency services attended after a car ended up in a hedge.

There were no major injuries after a car drove into a hedge along Bulwer Avenue. Traffic backed up as the emergency services dealt with the incident. (28615735)

One fire engine, one ambulance and two police vehicles were deployed at 2.55pm to Bulwer Avenue.

By 3.20pm the fire engine had left the scene and the driver was undergoing medical checks with no major injuries.

An attending policeman said it was a single vehicle road traffic collision, and the driver may have lost control for unknown reasons.

Another policeman diverted traffic at the junction around the ambulance.

Traffic was backed up beyond the Halfway, with temporary traffic lights mid-way causing further delays.
