As of Sunday there are five known active cases, up from the three recorded in the official statistics released on Friday.
On Saturday, one additional case was announced taking the tally to four - with the person testing negative upon arrival to the Bailiwick but was found as positive through day 13 testing while in isolation.
On Sunday, the States released the latest figures. 'We now have five (known) active cases of Covid-19 in the Bailiwick. The new case tested positive upon arrival into the Bailiwick and is in self-isolation. One person is currently in hospital,' said the update. No other details were provided.
Heidi Soulsby, vice-president of P&R and a former Health & Social Care president, said on a post on Twitter: 'Good we are picking up cases. Increase may reflect rise in prevalence in UK that has led to a Christmas lockdown in London, E &SE England and Wales.'
