The judging team marked 61 windows in four categories – initial impact, colour, theme and special features.

‘Some were easy to judge and we were in full agreement on, others we needed to discuss in much more depth and take a vote on,’ said St Peter Port Christmas lights chairman Jax Robin, one of judges.

‘The one thing we all agreed on was how the windows added to the festive feel in Town, complementing the lights and were well worth a trip into Town to see.’

The top five windows were Creasey’s Toys (Mill Street), Acorn Interiors, Creasey’s Home Store (Smith Street), The Beauty Rooms (Pollet) and Creasey’s (the Quay).

Creasey’s Home Store staff were presented with the trophy during Thursday late shopping.

Also judging were jeweller Catherine Best Nicki Harrison (YBG), Andrew Pouteaux (Art of Living & bunting enthusiast) and Keith Robin (treasurer, St Peter Port Christmas Lights).
