Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service were called out to Rue Frairies, St Andrew's, in the early hours of Sunday morning to put out the blaze.
'I was going to get my brother from Town and on my way back there was a blue rubbish bag in the road,' said driver Flynn Bourgaize.

'I slowed down and tried to avoid it, but as I tried to avoid it a gust of wind blew it under my car and it went up in flames almost immediately.
'I got everyone to get out the car as soon as I could due to the flames. I reckon I had around 20 seconds before everything went up totally.

'On the way I had a friend with me to keep my company but we were all okay because I evacuated everyone as soon as the fire started.
