The latest figures revealed there are currently 306 active cases as of midnight on Monday. This is an increase of 30 in the last day. There has been one recovery, but five people are still in hospital.

While the rise is the first time the island has seen more than 300 cases, the number of new cases is the lowest it has been in five days.

Yesterday's press conference revealed that the number of cases being uncovered had been going up - with 44 last Friday, 47 on Saturday and 46 on Sunday - but more cases were being found as they were contacts of existing cases. The number of unknown community seeded cases has been dropping.

Guernsey has been in lockdown since Saturday 23 January. Islanders should only be leaving their homes for essential work, healthcare, food shopping or exercise. Mask wearing has been strongly recommended.
