Thomas Tuchel has named the Bournemouth midfielder in his squad for next week’s World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania
Scott has represented England at age-group level before, having played a pivotal role as the U21s were crowned European champions in the summer.
‘He had an excellent EUROs,’ Tuchel said.
‘He won the title and Lee (Carsley) was full of praise. He did an excellent job in midfield together with Elliot Anderson who is now a regular starter for us.
‘It was very impressive but then he took another step and becomes a very regular starter now for Bournemouth and they are in the top third of the league.
‘They are overperforming constantly. He puts intensity in and he gets his minutes, so we thought this is maybe the perfect time to reward him and to get to know him and to see what he can bring to our team.’
Scott is part of a 25-man group for the two fixtures, with England - who have already qualified for next year’s tournament - facing Serbia at Wembley on Thursday 13 November (7.45pm) before travelling to Tirana to play Albania on Sunday 16 November (5pm GMT).
