Man admits recording people without their consent

A man has admitted recording people doing acts in private, without their knowledge or consent, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.

Kirk Geoff Bishop, 40, pleaded guilty to a total of eight offences when he appeared in the Magistrate’s Court from custody yesterday.

His offending was committed at eight different properties and involves a total of 12 victims.

At an earlier appearance in the Royal Court he had admitted seven counts of trespassing at various homes with the intention of committing a sexual offence, namely voyeurism.

The final charge, to which he also entered a guilty plea, was to stealing a woman’s underwear while trespassing at her home.

He will be sentenced for all matters in May and there was no application for bail.
