Until 27 September, the Brian White Gallery at Guernsey Museum will showcase the many faces of those who work behind the scenes of the local palliative care hospice, in celebration of its milestone anniversary.

In a striking series of over 100 portraits, photographer Aaron Yeandle has worked to capture the individual dedication, compassion and commitment that each nurse, carer, volunteer and supporter has brought to the vital charity over the years.

‘I was super honoured to get this opportunity to do such a meaningful, historical social project,’ he said.

‘And it’s also a real honour to be part of that history and family as well now.

'Through these formal, non-smiling portraits, I really wanted to capture each person’s inner-essence, their true self. To create raw images that feel personal and intimate, rather than just showing big, cheesy smiles which are fake.’
