‘I’m so proud of every student receiving their results today. Behind every grade is a story of hard work and a young person who has been supported to find her area of passion and determine the impact she wants to have on the world,’ said principal Danielle Harford-Fox.
‘These results are a real credit to each of our girls as individuals. They’re heading out into a world that’s changing fast, and I’ve no doubt the skills, creativity and resilience they’ve built here will stand to them, whatever path they choose.’
97% of students have been accepted to their chosen university, with others entering employment.
Ella Gurney achieved the grades she needed to go to the University of Leeds to study fashion marketing.
‘I’m really happy – I got two A*s, an A and a B,’ she said.
She studied geography, photography, graphic communications and maths in context, and said she has decided to study fashion marketing as she has always loved fashion.
Straight A* student Thea Stark will be heading to the University of Oxford to study medicine.
‘I’m very happy and it’s great to see everyone so happy,’ she said.
Lissy Hayman will be studying astrophysics at Durham.
‘I got four A*s in maths, further maths, chemistry and physics,’ she said.
‘I didn’t expect it so I’m pleasantly surprised.
‘My plan is to teach physics in a different language as I have always been interested in doing languages too.’
Head of senior school Morag Herring said that she was incredibly proud of the students.
‘They’ve worked incredibly hard, as have their teachers, so it’s lovely seeing all of their achievements,’ she said.
