Albert will be shown in the Channel Islands short films programme at the Mallard Cinema at 3.30pm.
The short film has been selected for 13 festivals and has earned six nominations. It has been shown in England, Scotland, Jersey, France and the US since its sold-out island premiere at St James in March.
Its latest successes came at the weekend, when it won best cinematography at both the Worcester Film Festival and Scotland’s Leith Short Film Festival on the same night.
The week before, it was nominated for the same award at Exit 6 in Basingstoke, a BAFTA- and BIFA-qualifying festival. Its first win came last September, when it was named best historical short at the New Renaissance Film Festival in London.
Guernsey-based actor James Howard has also been nominated for best supporting actor at FilmQuest in Utah, for his performance as the Rector opposite Cameron Ashplant’s Sarre.
The genre festival runs next month.
Howard is best known for playing Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child between 2017 and 2023.

‘The selection and programme this year is proof of the talent, high quality and growth our local film community has seen since year one.’
The film festival is now in its fifth year.
Albert is supported by Guernsey Arts, Visit Guernsey and Guernsey Museums, and executive produced by Ivy Gate Films. It will continue its festival run into early 2027 before an online release.
