The window was smashed and cash was stolen from the pizza truck. It also appears that an attempt was made to break into the kiosk itself. The break-in happened at about 2am.
‘We found it this morning, we just found a few things a bit weird this morning when we came in and then on further investigation we found that the window of the pizza truck had been broken and then oil everywhere,’ said Mim Sarre, owner of Mim’s Kiosk.
‘I’ve had to have a gas engineer out to check all the pipes, all the ovens and everything like that, and the connectors to make sure nothing’s been broken or damaged purposely and it appears that everything is working okay.’
Ms Sarre said walking into the kiosk and discovering that people had tried to get in and seeing that the pizza truck had been broken into was a shock.
‘It’s a shock, and then you’re a bit fearful and then I felt sick. You feel that someone has infringed on your space,’ she said.
‘It’s now the impact on people who work here now, and how they feel.’
Ms Sarre shared the news on Facebook on Tuesday and the post received lots of supportive comments.
‘It’s ever so endearing, that means a lot – it means everything.’
