Guernsey first team earn a valuable point in British League

RAVENSCROFT Guernsey earned themselves a vital draw over the weekend in their fight to avoid British League relegation.

Both the Ravenscroft first and second teams travelled away for their latest round of games in Division One North and Division Four South West respectively, with differing objectives.

The first team of Phil Ogier, Alice Loveridge, Lawrence and Josh Stacey started off one point adrift at the bottom of the table, but a 4-4 draw with Ormesby II saw them rise away from the sole guaranteed relegation spot.

It means they are in with a chance of retaining their Division One status ahead of the final four matches in March, although it was not so good for the second team, who lost both of their matches.

That significantly reduced their hopes of promotion from Division Four.
