Two days after the Guernsey Schools team won the Lord Jersey Cup, St Jacques sealed the Hampshire Solent Merit League title with an 18-10 win away at Havant Dolphins – a 15th straight victory for Jon Bell's men in their inaugural season in the UK leagues.

Meanwhile, the Guernsey Rugby Club were causing a big upset in National Three London & South-East by beating second-placed London Irish Wild Geese 36-25 away from home.

The result means Guernsey have climbed to 10th in the table and out of the relegation zone.

There was also success for Guernsey Seconds in the Investec CI League as they beat Les Quennevais 28-21.
