League newcomers provide next test
THE London One North champions provide Guernsey with their latest pre-season test tomorrow evening at Footes Lane.
In what is a quirk of fate, visitors Colchester are now also National Three London & South-East rivals for Jordan Reynolds' men, as the GRFC director of rugby explained.
'For us, we are looking for a bit tougher games as the weeks progress heading into the season and Colchester will definitely provide us with that.'
Reynolds used a squad of 26 in the match against Athletic, but with a development side playing against St Jacques tomorrow afternoon (1pm kick off), his first-team squad will be cut down to around 22 for the game against Colchester, which kicks off at 7.30pm.
'I am looking for guys to have more game time,' he said.
'Last week was a bit of a blow out, but most players will get at least 60 minutes this weekend, except those in a couple of keys positions.'
