'One of our best performances this season' says Reynolds
IT WAS Guernsey Raiders rather than the wind that blew away Eton Manor in the first 15min. on Saturday at Footes Lane.
Playing into the driving rain and at times force eight wind, the hosts scored at a point a minute for the first quarter-of-an-hour as they won their first National Three London & South-East match of the year 32-5.
There were two tries apiece for Adam Nixon and Nick Merrien while other scores came from Sam Whitehead and Owen Thomas.
GRFC director of rugby Jordan Reynolds was pleased with how his side started 2016.
'I thought we were really good,' he said.
'We looked to put width on it, despite the conditions, and we did not go into our shell at all.
'We played creatively, we probably left another 20 points out there due to a couple of decisions and errors, but overall it was one of our best performances this season.'
