TOP of the table with two wins from two and 17 tries scored already this season, no wonder Guernsey Ladies coach Chris Griffiths is smiling.
If his team can keep producing the type of rugby they produced in the opening 20 minutes against Barnes at Footes Lane on Saturday throughout the rest of the season, that smile will only grow broader.
The home side were virtually irresistible during that period, playing with pace and power in abundance and scoring at more than a point a minute to open up a 22-0 lead that they were never in danger of surrendering.
A brave and resilient Barnes outfit never let their heads drop and forced their hosts into doing their fair share of defensive work after that initial blitz, but the damage had already been done.
There were two tries apiece for Lauren Finch and Vicki Rang while Ellie Whittles, Fiona Power, Anneka Saunders and Jillian Smith also touched down.
