Priaulx senior wins WEC opener at Silverstone
BRAGGING rights in the Priaulx racing family are back with Dad.
While young Seb had one of those weekends where little goes right, Andy made a winning start to the FIA World Endurance Championship, having started on pole at Silverstone.
On his home track Priaulx Snr's number 67 Ford GT that he shares with fellow Brit Harry Tincknell and Brazilian Luis Felipe Derani, came through to win the GTE Pro Class.
All had looked good for son Sebastian going into the second weekend of the Ginetta Junior Championship and three races at Donington Park in Leicestershire.
After the glory of Brands Hatch on the opening weekend of the series, Seb Priaulx led the standings but he encountered far more problems in the Midlands.
After disappointing qualifying he struggled to sixth in race one and seventh in race two when he persevered with some front end damage slowing him.
With the ITV4 cameras going live for race three, he almost immediately was out of the race, getting tagged by a spinning rival on a hairpin and shoved out of the action.
