The Bailiwick’s top boxer has now won the annual event five times in total, four times as a senior elite.
His latest triumph came via a unanimous victory against Wessex ABC’s Kyle Whiffen, against whom he put in a strong performance and gave two counts.
This success paves the way to another National Amateur Championships campaign over the next month and a chance to go one better than last year, when he lost on points to Olympic hopeful Ramtin Musah.
The pre-quarter finals are set to take place on 2 April, the next two rounds on 9 and 10 April and then comes finals day on 23 April.
