While his Guernsey teammates have this weekend off, the Raiders centre is set to feature against Romania tomorrow at Fritz-Grunebaum-Sportpark in Heidelberg.

Germany will then face Portugal next Saturday at the Paul Greifzu Stadium.

The competition features eight nations – the top European teams from outside the Six Nations Championship – with each playing a total of five matches, three in the round-robin stage then two play-off games.

Belgium complete the four-team Pool B while Pool A contains Georgia, Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Dawe has previously been the Germany Sevens captain.

Raiders are back in action next Saturday when they host Sevenoaks in a National Two East clash at Footes Lane.

Meanwhile, Vikings’ hopes of beating the weather were thwarted by yesterday’s rain as their rearranged home game against Millbrook was postponed once again.

Their next game is away to Counties One Hampshire leaders Portsmouth next Saturday.
